The Stockfree Collective

Farmers trust farmers. The Stockfree Collective is a peer network where farmers who are exploring or completing transitions can speak directly with others who have already done it.

Why a collective?

Advisory services can take you a long way. But there is something that expert advice alone cannot fully provide: the practical, unfiltered experience of someone who has been exactly where you are now.

The Stockfree Collective exists to create that connection. It brings together farmers across the UK and Ireland who are at different stages of transition – some just beginning to explore, others with years of stockfree enterprise behind them – in a space where honest conversation is possible.

What members get

Peer-to-peer access

Direct access to other farmers who have made the transition - not via an organisation, but peer-to-peer

Practical answers

A space to ask the practical questions that advisory services cannot always answer: what it actually feels like, what went wrong, what you wish you had known

Shared learning

Shared learning on business models, funding, markets, and the realities of specific enterprises

Community

Connection to a community that understands the pressures, the complexities, and the possibilities of this kind of change

How to join

The Stockfree Collective is open to farmers and crofters across the UK and Ireland who are genuinely interested in exploring alternatives to livestock farming. Membership is free.

“Most people want to see the numbers first, and hear from someone who has actually done it. That is where we begin.”
