Farmers’ Survey

Introduction

What is the survey about?

Recently, farming has been going through disruption and uncertainty due to multiple factors: the UK’s departure from the European Union, the Covid-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, and changing consumer preferences.

Within disruption lies opportunity This survey presents some opportunities for adapting and thriving through these changes. The intention of the survey is to understand how farmers and crofters feel about these opportunities for adaptation.

Please take a moment to find a place where you are comfortable and won’t be disturbed for about twenty minutes. Collective responses will be used to support farmers and crofters to adapt to changing social, economic and environmental conditions and to influence government policies to that end.

When the video concludes you will be asked six more questions. Thank you for supporting our effort.

No personal or identifying information will be shared.

What will the data be used for?

The results of this survey will be published on the Farmers for Stock-Free Farming website. Anonymised data may be shared with other organisations including governmental and media. Data containing personal or identifying information will not be published or shared with any organisation.

Am I eligible to take part?

This survey is intended for active farmers and crofters, whether tenants or landowners.

How long will the survey take?

The survey is in three parts: pre-video questionnaire; informational video; and post-video questionnaire. It should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.

Questions about the survey can be sent to survey@farmersforstockfreefarming.org.
